A Movie Entitled Tiszta Szívvel (Pure Heart)
This is a meaningful action-comedy of a wheelchair-bound assassin gang. Driven by despair and fear of becoming useless, a 20 year-old boy, his friend, and an ex-fireman offer their services to the mafia. But things are not what they seem. The boundaries between reality and fiction blur and the story becomes a whirling kaleidoscope showing us gangsters and gunfights, but also the challenge of life in a wheelchair and the pain caused by a father’s rejection.
Nominated by Gabriella Liptay:
‘This year has brought some great success in the world of film. One of my Hungarian favorites is Pure Heart of Attila Till. It is cheerful, funny, but at the same time it makes you think. But this movie became important for me not only because critics and experts awarded and appreciated it. For me it was all different. The decisive factor was a personal thread during the selection. For mostly I kept observing Ádám Fekete “actor”, embodiment of Barba Papa during the projection of the movie. Because I have known Ádám since he was a little kid, I have marveled at his progress, his becoming an adult from the Kincskereső School to the University of Theater and Film, from his stagings in Trafo to his newest plays performed in B32- I have been observing him in connection with the Prima- Primissima Junior Award as well, that might have come a little bit too soon. Ádám- a bit as a background player -is present in the movie with his fantastic sense of humor, “operates” through flesh and blood reactions just like in real life. I recommend the film- not only because of Ádám- to everyone, to break away with its help from everyday life, to laugh wholeheartedly together with the characters, at the impossible and comical situations, at the exceptional moments of life. ‘
